Visits to State Key Universities for Exchange and Recruitment

Since the late November, Institute of County Economic Development has organized faculty members, in batches, to visit some key universities for exchange and talent recruiting.

During these days, we paid visits to 18 universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Xiamen University, Hunan University, Sichuan University and etc., mainly to find qualified PhD graduates specialized in economy and management. At the same time, taking the chance of “Annual Meeting on Regional Economics Discipline Construction”, we promoted our scientific achievements and policies for bringing in high-end talents.

Before we started the universities communication, Mao Jinhuang, Executive Dean, hosted a meeting. He pointed out that the faculty responsible for employing talents should have a thorough understanding on relevant policies of our institute and make sure all the participating universities know about our preferential policies. He also required the interests of potential candidates should be triggered by drawing an explicit picture of our prospects and opportunities for promotion and growth. Besides, opportunities should be seized to enhance connections to national renowned universities during visits in order to tap into great potential for future communication and cooperation in terms of disciplines construction, talents nurturing and researches.

Learning to store up treasure is like building a nest to attract the phoenix. We held these job fairs for PhD students at different key universities, not only to make more top talents know about our preferential employment policies, but also to boost our communication and cooperation with qualified universities by exchanging best practices and experiences on operation.

The institute also invited Li Pengfei, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department to have a profound explanation on personnel policies and put forward suggestion on talent team building. Besides, Office of Talents helped check recruiting notice of the institute.
