Zhang Zilong is a Doctor, Associate Professor and Master’s tutor from Ili of Xinjiang Province. He is now the Deputy Director of Geography Department of Lanzhou University, Director of Research Center on Targeted Poverty Alleviation and Rural Revitalization of the Institute for Studies in County Economy Development (Institute for Studies in Rural Revitalization Strategy). Besides, he also works as Deputy Director of Western China Recycling Economy Research Center (Key Research Base on Gansu Provincial Humanities and Social Sciences) and Ecological Civilization Construction Research and Evaluation Center (Gansu New-Type Think-Tank).

He also participates in Urban and Regional Management Committee and Youth Workers Committee of China Geography Society and serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of Industrial Ecology Professional Committee, China Ecological Society. He is mainly engaged in studying industrial development, industrial ecology and recycling economy.
