In order to further enhance the management on projects of National Social Science Fund, especially level up the quality of our philosophy and social science projects, as the authorized regulations require, we present the notice on mid-term review on projects of National Social Science Fund in 2019 as follows.

I. Scope of review

Projects of National Social Science Fund approved in 2017

II. Focus of review

1. Progress of projects: we will review whether the projects are proceeded as designated and required and focus on the tracking inspection on projects serving social and economic development and promoting the construction of advanced subjects.

2. Milestones of achievements: we will review the periodical outputs of projects, especially achievements and academic influence. Please noted if the outputs are 1)published on journals of CSSCI、SSCI、SCI、EI, 2) forwarded by People University's Printed Materials, China Social Sciences Digest, China University Academic Abstracts and XinHua Digest, 3) issued by key internal references such as Achievements Report, 4) approved and accepted by relevant departments and their chiefs , and 5) rewarded with kinds of awards.

3. Utilization of fund.

III. Preventing and Punishing Academic Fraud

According to the Notice on Further Preventing and Punishing Academic Fraud of Projects under National Social Science Fund (NPOSS, No.16, 2017), the applicants and participants should seriously obey academic ethics, with any academic fraud prevented and resisted. We reiterate our requirements hereby:

1. When the applicants demonstrate their projects, plagiarism and academic fraud are prohibited, including exaggerating their initial results, counterfeiting identities, education backgrounds or other individual information and concluding the team member without any permission.

2. When the participants conducted the projects, plagiarism and academic fraud are prohibited, including plagiarizing others’ achievements or falsifying researching data.

3. When the participants apply for completion of projects, no fraud or fiction on periodic achievements are allowed, and the team members are not allowed to change without permission.

4. As for the funds reimbursement, no fake invoices or irrelevant supporting documents for expenses are allowed.

Any applicant violating the first regulation will be disqualified for application or the project will be canceled. If any participant infringing the rest regulations, the project will be cancelled or suspended. Besides, no applicants and head of the team are allowed to apply for any project under National Social Science Fund within 5 years.
