To units that are concerned,

In order to prevent and control the pneumonia caused by Novel Coronavirus by avoiding crowded places and cutting spread of the diseases, and to ensure the health of researchers, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences decided to prolong the application period for National Social Science Foundation Project of 2020. Accordingly, the university also decided to postpone the submission date of application materials of 2020 National Social Science Foundation Project, detailed in the following.

1. The application procedures of National Social Science Foundation Project will be reviewed and submitted through three administrations from each application unit to its provincial social science planning management department and then to the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences.

2. It is required each unit should conduct formal examination and content review and then submit application materials to Social and Sciences Office for further review. Afterwards, the application materials will be submitted to Gansu Provincial Social Science Planning Office.

3. The Gansu Provincial Social Science Planning Office will consolidate all the provincial materials and organized the experts panel designated by the the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences for further appraisal. After formal examination, duplication check, materials sorting with the above appraisal, the report lists of application will be decided and submitted to the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences.

4. Based on the above requirements and notices, our university decides to postpone the deadline of the application to February 16, 2020. To make sure a smooth progress of application, the Social and Sciences Office will deal with all the paper version of application materials (one application from,loose-leaf and sealed summary sheet of application) of all units on February 17, 2020 (9:00am—12:00am，14:30pm—17:30pm). Each unit and applicant shall be responsible for any delay in the application of the project or any failure to submit the application as required caused by the institute or the applicant. At the same time, it is required each unit shall email the final application forms and summary sheet of application of National Social Science Foundation Project of 2020 to the designated mailbox. Please make sure the data of electronic version should conform to the data in the application form. We shall not accept the case if overdue. We only accept the unified submission by a unit rather than any individual.

5. It is required all application forms should be filled in on computer and double-sided printed on A3 paper with central joint binding. It is asked to submit 7 application forms and loose-leaves and the loose-leaves shall be printed separately.

6. 7. As the situation develops, if there is any adjustment of the follow-ups, please pay attention to our notice in time.
